Atty. Norieva D. de Vega 
Head, Intellectual Property Department, Philippine Intellectual Property Lawyer

Atty. Norieva D. de Vega is the Managing Partner of the Firm. She obtained her Juris Doctor degree in Law from the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law where she graduated Class Salutatorian . She also received the Silver Medal Second Honors award. Moreover, she was bestowed the Silver Medal for Academic Excellence for her achievements in the field of academics. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from the University of the Philippines in Diliman. In addition, she has finished the Intellectual Property Law School Program of the Instituto de Estudos Europeus de Macau. Furthermore, she has successfully completed the Intellectual Property Training for Lawyers held in Tokyo, Japan and sponsored by the Japan Patent Office in coordination with the Association on Overseas Technical Scholarship. She also holds a Certificate from the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO) for her completion of the WIPO Summer School on Intellectual Property held in Daejeon, Republic of Korea.

A duly registered resident representative accredited by the Philippine Intellectual Property Office, Atty. de Vega primarily practices intellectual property law, including licensing and technology transfer agreements and the prosecution and maintenance of trademarks, copyrights, patents, utility models, industrial designs. She also specializes in all areas of local and international taxation, election law and entertainment law. She has extensive experience in litigation, particularly in the fields of tax law, family law, immigration law, intellectual property litigation and enforcement actions.

Atty. De Vega is also law professor at the Far Eastern University Institute of Law where she teaches Constitutional Law Review.
In addition to teaching, Atty. De Vega hosts a radio show entitled "Ang Buhay at Batas" aired every Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at DZRJ 810 AM.

Atty. De Vega handles all aspects of intellectual property, from prosecution of applications to registration with the Intellectual Property Office. She also specializes in intellectual property litigation. 

Atty. Krisanto Karlo E. Nicolas

Atty. Krisanto Karlo Nicolas, one of the Founding Partners, obtained his Juris Doctor degree in Law from the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law, where he graduated with Honors and was awarded the Silver Medal Second Honors award. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from the University of the Philippines in Diliman.

Before forming the firm, Atty. Nicolas was connected with Sycip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan Law Offices, where he practiced Litigation, Labor and Employment Law, Corporate Law and Corporate Services, and Intellectual Property Law.

Aside from legal work, he hosts a radio show entitled "Ang Buhay at Batas" aired every Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at DZRJ 810 AM.

Atty. Nicolas handles trademark and patent opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Philippine Intellectual Property Office and Philippine trial and appellate courts. 

Atty. Joeben T. de Jesus

Atty. De Jesus has a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Sto. Tomas, the oldest existing university in Asia. Furthermore, he holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the same university where he was bestowed with the Best Thesis Award.

Atty. Melissa Roe R. Mendoza

Atty. Melissa Roe Mendoza obtained her Juris Doctor degree from San Beda University in Mendiola, Manila. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of the Philippines in Diliman. A born achiever, Melissa was the Head of the Academics Committee of the UP Sigma Delta Pi Bar Operations.

A multi-faceted individual, Melissa has vast knowledge in legal research, legal writing, legal document preparation, legal terminologies, file organization, Microsoft Offices and Adobe Photoshop. Such a compendium of skills was honed by Melissa through her winning attitude coupled with a dedication to the pursuit of excellence.

Edward Ignacio
Philippine Intellectual Property Legal Assistant

Mr. Ignacio holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, which he obtained from the San Sebastian Recoletos Institute of Law. He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the same college.

With his background in Law, Mr. Ignacio has extensive experience in assisting the lawyers in the preparation of pleadings, collation of evidence, filing of pleadings and other work related to the field of intellectual property litigation. As a Legal Assistant, Mr. Ignacio is also skilled in drafting pleadings. In addition, he is adept in the registration and prosecution of trademarks, patents, copyrights, utility model and other intellectual property applications. 

Raul M. Damuy 
Philippine Intellectual Property Head Paralegal 

Mr. Damuy is a Certified Public Accountant. He finished his Bachelor’s Degree in Commercial Science Major in Accounting in 1983. He took and successfully passed the Board Exams for Accountants in 1984.

He is also the Head Paralegal of the Intellectual Property Department of the Firm. Mr. Damuy specializes in the preparation and prosecution of trademark, patent, utility model and industrial design applications for local and foreign clients of the Firm. He is also adept on giving advice on the patentability of inventions, patent searches, maintenance of patents, amendments to patents and traversing the Patent Examiner’s objections. Furthermore, he has extensive experience in filing Patent Cooperation Treaty applications for entering the national phase in the Philippines. 

Liezl B. Glorioso 
Philippine Intellectual Property Asst. Head Paralegal

Ms. Glorioso has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. She boasts of almost a decade of experience in handling trademark and patent watch, application, prosecution and maintenance for Philippine and foreign clients. Furthermore, she is an expert in assisting the Firm's legal team in inter partes proceedings before the Bureau of Legal Affairs of the Philippine Intellectual Property Office.

Ruben O. Gregorio
Philippine Intellectual Property Paralegal

Mr. Gregorio has a Bachelor of Science in Office Administration degree from Eulogio Amang Rodriguez Institute of Science & Technology. Before joining the firm, Mr. Gregorio worked as a cost management specialist for a private company.

He is the firm’s paralegal charged with the prosecution of patent, industrial design, utility model and PCT applications with the Philippine Intellectual Property Office. 

Mary Joy A. Ladrona
Philippine Intellectual Property Asst. Paralegal

Armed with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Office Administration, Major in Office Management from the Rizal Technological University, Ms. Ladrona ably supports the Firm’s Intellectual Property Department by serving as the Firm’s liaison officer to the Philippine Intellectual Property Office. She is adept at filing trademark and patent applications before the Philippine Intellectual Property Office and lends her intelligence and resourcefulness to the Firm’s Intellectual Property Department.
